Halfway House in Elizabetdtown

The motel was recently built and everything is in excellent condition and comfortable. This was the best sleep I have had lately. If the motel were being rated by itself, the current average of 3.2 stars is way too low.The restaurant serves very good food, but the appetizer took half an hour and the entree was another 15 minutes. By American standards, this is just flat out too slow, as others have pointed out. For this reason, if I were rating the restaurant, it would be lower.

Warm and welcoming owner and employees. Loved their food and motel. Beautiful location in the wilderness. Loved their all wood concept. Definitely recommend to all!

Fave spot up here. Purchased a house on Lincoln Pond and always make sure to grab a turkey club & draft while I’m up here.

Good wings

If I could write a review with zero stars I would, but I had to put one star to even write a review. We have been here three or four times now and every time we have waited around 2 hours for the food. Locals who came in much later than we did were served before us as we sat there with our baby, our toddler, and our son. They serve the locals and leave the others to sit there and wait houra for food. Never were apologetic or did anything about the bill. Not a good business. Will not be returning.

The Halfway House is a fantastic restaurant, bar, game room, in the heart of the Adirondacks. They have a free game room (pool table, shuffle board, etc.) that you will enjoy for hours. The food is great! I've had many meals there and the dinners are very tasty indeed. Maybe some naysayers on other Google reviews were there on a bad night? Great wings and beer, games, television and great service. I sincerely feel you will have a really good time there! Try it, you'll like it!

If youre looking for beer, drinks, or wings, thats ok, however, if you want a decent dinner, FORGET IT. I would not recommend eating here. I dont mind paying for dinner IF its worth the money. This place is so over priced.Food was terrible, we were served instant mashed potatoes and frozen veggies. I ordered the special, ckn francese, and my husband ordered turkey and gravy over bread, we had the SAME lumpy gravy sauce, mine was curdled from lemon they used to try to claim it was francese sauce. Dont waste your time or your money here. So disappointing.

We have been here several times since the local food options are fairly limited. There always seems to be a merry-go-round of help, each time we have been there they are training someone new it seems. The food is ok, but somewhat on the expensive side. The prices are on par with the other local restaurants, but the quality is not there. They usually have a good beer or two on tap.
